Herbal Viagra from Kerala develops

NEW DELHI: Doctors in Kerala are turning to locally grown vegetables to produce a potent herbal substitute for Viagra, for both men and women.

Said to have low chemical content with unrecorded side effects among users, the relatively new aphrodisiac is turning heads in India after its success in Kerala that gave the world its famous ayurvedic cures for various ailments.
Known as ‘Musli Power X-Tra’, the drug contains safed musli, an Indian version of ginseng, grown mostly in northern India, and extracts of ‘muringa’, the Indian drumstick.

“It is a high-yielding product with nine different ingredients known for enhancing sexual urges and overall health. These herbal capsules are less toxic and helps to rejuvenate the body as well,” says Dr T V Mathew, a clinical psychologist and sex therapist with Kunnath Pharmaceuticals that produces the product.

“Kerala people are very critical and even here it has been accepted. So far, at least 250,000 people have tried this herbal product and there are no complaints of any side-effects. It is just not an aphrodisiac but helps cure infertility in men and women,” he said.
It also contains other extracts from high quality local herbs which are documented in ayurvedic texts.

The muringa, known for its aphrodisiac properties, resembles a drumstick and is widely used in Indian homes to prepare dishes.
A team of doctors, including Mathew, conducted clinical trials on the effectiveness of Musli Power X-Tra on patients suffering from erectile dysfunctions in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry for nine months and did not record any negative response from the patients. – QNA.
