Police in bigamy probe discover Viagra
POLICE who arrested a 48-year-old Bolton man on suspicion of bigamy found 160 packets of Viagra pills at his home.
Blackburn magistrates heard the man, who has been married four times, claimed the sex pills were his and that he took three a day.
Det Con Dave Souch told the court police arrested the man and his current wife in relation to bigamy and perjury offences.
While they were searching his home for documents in relation to his four marriages marriages they discovered the Viagra tablets which, because they were 100 mgm tablets, were only available on prescription.
They also seized a quantity of cash, believed to be in the region of ?3,000. The man had been unemployed for four years.
The magistrates granted an application by the police for the detention of the cash for three months.
Det Con Souch said the man and his wife had been released on police bail so further inquiries could be made.
